Ian Eagle also known as The Bird is an American sports announcer who was born on the 9^th of February, 1969 (his current age is 45 years old) in Essex Fells, New Jersey, United States of America.

He was born to parents Jack Eagle and Monica Maris. His father Jack was an entertainer; an actor/ comedian who played many commercials and made several screen appearances. He was best known for his roles as “Mr. Cholesterol” and “Brother Dominic”.

His mom Monica was a stage singer. Being their only child, Ian had a comfortable childhood as a child who got all the love and care from his family. He went to the local Gregory Von School for Kids and was a very active sportsman.

He was always present in any of the sports events hosted by his school, and soon started to anchor the games. From there, he got the real taste of a sports journalist.

He completed his education in 1990 from Syracuse University and there too, he was the main voice of sports events like football, lacrosse, basketball and others.

Ian is an American citizen by nationality and belongs to a white ethnicity. He was brought up in a Christian family and follows the same religion.  

Ian is not the tallest of man. He has got a very average height for a man. He measures about a 175 cm tall, which is around 5 feet and 8 inches. It is pretty standard height. He doesn’t have a very muscular body/ or didn’t used to have one.

It looks like the couple are living in mutual respect and harmony, and it seems like they are not going to have a divorce anytime soon.

He started his career joining CBS in 1998, where he reported the NFL and NCCA basketball events. In 2010, he teamed up with Dan Futons in CBS’s coverage program.

In 2002, he joined the YES Network and in 2005-6 season of NBA, was affiliated with FOX Sports. He is the face of many sports shows like NBA action and NBA Jam.
