Jason Segel is Marshall Eriksen of How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM). How I Met, Your Mother is a popular comedy sitcom of CBS network.

Segel is an actor, comedian-musician, composer, singer, songwriter, voice-actor, film producer and also a screenwriter.

Most fans know him from HIMYM, but he has also done a good job in movies like Forgetting Sarah Marshal, Knocked-Up, and The Five-Year Engagement. Segel’s net worth is an estimated $30 million. His salary at HIMYM was $225 thousand per episode.

Segel’s love for music is huge. He co-wrote most of the songs of the movie Get Him to the Greek. He sang Dracula’s Lament and his original song Wonky Eyed Girl in The Late Night with Craig Ferguson.

The multi-talented actor announced that he is working on a book, an adult novel, in 2013. And in 2014 he released that book entitled Nightmares. 

Moving on to his personal life, Segel is Los Angeles born American (January 18, 1980). He is just 34 years of age. His father is Jewish and mother Christian. He was raised Jewish by his parents in the Pacific Palisades.

Both of his parents are a lawyer. He studied high school at Harvard-Westlake School. He was into basketball in high school. He was a member of the school’s basketball team of boys. His height of six feet four inch also helped him to get into the basketball team. 

After the show, Freaks and Geeks, was cancelled he started dating the lead actress Linda Cardellini. Their relationship didn’t last long; it was kind of a fling affair.  

After not so long, Segel started dating Michelle Williams. They kept a very low profile regarding their relationship.

They were not showing their romance in public, as other Hollywood actor and actresses do, but according to sources, they were totally in love.

Their relationship ended in 2013. The reason was the long-distance. Segel was in Los Angeles all the time busy with filming HIMYM, and Williams lived in New York with his daughter.

They were so great together; even their fans thought they were the cutest and hottest couple at that moment. In the summer after break-up with Williams, Segel was seen with a new girlfriend.

It was Bojana Novakovic. But their fling was just for few weeks. His relationships were not successful thus he is not married. His work life is like his wife and he is so committed to it that he would never divorce it.
