Sherwin David Wood Harris is an American actor formally known as Wood Harris. He was born on October 17, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois. He is an American citizen belonging to black ethnicity of America. Wood is the younger brother of actor Steve Harris and their family lives together in Chicago. His father John was a bus driver and mother Mattie was a housewife who raised him and his brother together. Harris was brilliant from his childhood, he was interested in studies and acting. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with the Bachelor’s degree of Art in Theater Arts and then Master of Arts from New York University. During his days in New York University he was starred in the movie Above the Rim which was a Basketball Drama. He himself was a basketball player in his days, which helped for his acting.
