Multitalented Keenen Ivory Wayans is popular as an American actor, screenwriter, comedian, film director and producer. He is also a member of the Wayans Family of entertainers. Keenen Ivory Wayans was born in New York City on June 8, 1958. He was born to Elvira Alethia, a homemaker and social worker and Howell Wayans, a supermarket manager with African-American ethnicity. Keenen was grown up in Manhattan's Fulton housing projects discovering and developing his interest in acting.

On an engineering scholarship, Wayans attended Tuskegee University where he used to make stories about life in New York and entertain his friends. In order to focus on comedy, Wayans dropped out of school one semester before graduation. His initial set performing was at The Improv in New York where he met Robert Townsend, who helped him to gain knowledge of the comedy business. In the year 1980, Wayans moved to Los Angeles where he worked as an actor. He appeared on a television series named "For Love and Honor" with a recurring role of soldier.
